Being discharged in 1946, I returned to work at Chicago and Southern Air Lines as an mechanic.

I joined the Tennessee National Guard and was classified as an Armour and later as Crew Chief on P-51's. The unit was called up in April 1951, the 155 TAC RECON. We were shipped to Shaw Field, SC and updated to F-80's. I was discharged in 1952 and returned to work at the airline.

Chicago and Southern merged with Delta Airlines in 1943 and I was transferred to Atlanta, GA. Worked in various departments finishing up as Foreman, Engine Shop Quality Control. Retiring in 1989 from Delta Airlines after 46 years of service.

I'm married to my wife, Doris, we have three children and six grandchildren.
