He operated, adjusted and performed flight maintenance on an APS-15 type radar equipment. Determined position of airplane with respect to pre-determined ground location to accurately place bombs on assigned targets through overcast. Interpreted radar scope presentation to obtain accurate infomation for fixes, altitude, air pilots, wings, ground speeds and track. Transmitted this info to pilot, navigator and bombardier. Had a thorough knowledge of bombsight equipment and D R Navigation. Flew 27 Combat Missions ofer Japenese Home Islands in B-29 type aircraft.

AAF GUNNERY SCHOOL :		Laredo, TX 6 week course covering Flexible Gunnery (30 and 50 caliber machine guns)
BOMBARDIER PREFLIGHT:		9 weeks course in Physics, Mathematics, Aircraft and Naval Indentification, Maps and Charts, Computers, Auditory and Visual Code, als participated daily Physical Training and Military Drill.
ADVANCED BOMBARDIER SCHOOL:		Recieved approx. 4509 classroom hours in Pilotage and Dead Becking Navigation, Basic Theory of Bombing, Bombsights and Bomb Accessories, Bombing Analysis, Bombardment Aviation, Instruments, Computers, Code Aircraft and naval Recognition, Meteorology, and Duties/Responsibilities of Flight Officer (F/O) consisted of approx. 100 flying hours.

Dad was very community minded and was active in community service. He was one of 9 members of the Committee to write the charter for the Village of Allen Park to become a city in 1956. He belong to the Dads Club, Kwianas, K of C. Father Saylor Council (was Grand Knight and Past Grand Knight) Council, Allen Park Community Council (held office as President and Past President), Safety Commissioner of the Allen Park Fire and Police, Active in the Boy Scouts, Parishnor and Usher at St. Francis Cabrini Church and the Elks. Dad was an all a round kinda of guy.
