S/Sgt Joseph C. Paruti

Joe was born on January 25, 1925 to the Alexander Paruti, Sr. and Rose (Vincelette) Paruti in Webster, MA. He was raised in Chelmsford, MA and attended Keith Academy in Lowell. He graduated from Boston College and New England School of Law.

He married Mary J. (Pollard) Paruti in Lowell on September 11, 1948. They enjoyed over 66 years together and have lived in Falmouth since 1978. They have three children - David, Donna and Kenneth.; They have 3 grandchidren and one great grandson.

Joe is a devout Catholic who took a leadership role in the parishes he belonged to. He was President of the Holy Name Society at St. Mary’s in Chelmsford and 4 Degree Knight of Columbus Grand Knight at St. John’s in East Bridgewater. At St. Anthony’s in East Falmouth, he was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector for
many years, past President of the Couples Club and a recipient of the Marian Medal for Distinguished Service.

He worked for the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company for 28 years in management positions in Boston and Brockton. He was a longtime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

In 1977, he fulfilled a life-long ambition and passed the bar to become a lawyer. He had private practices in Randolph, MA and East Falmouth until his retirement in 2013. He frequently donated his time to help folks at the Senior Center with legal issues.

He was an avid Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics fan. His true love was tennis- which he played well into his 80’s and followed the Pro Tour.

S/Sgt Joseph C. Paruti took his Final Flight on 28 January 2015, at the age of 90 yrs old.
