Captain Eugene S. Land
Airplane Commander

Eugene Stuart Land was born November 25, 1916 in Beaumont, Texas, to Amos and Mary Cooper Land.

He and his wife of 66 years, Mary were wed on May 2, 1942 in Pecos, Texas, while he was serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. They have one daughter and two sons; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in business. He lived most of his adult life in the Houston, Texas, area where he worked in banking as a consultant for mergers and acquisitions.

Family and Jesus Christ are the most important in his life.


Eugene Stuart Land took his Final Flight on 16 November 2008 in Tupelo, MS. where he had lived the last few years to be near family.
