The
crew of P-14 named their plane "Southern Drawl." They
had 35 missions over the Japanese Islands with approximately
500 flight hours. They were recipients of the Distinguished
Flying Cross, Air Medal with Clusters, and two Battle
Stars for the fire raid on Tokyo and the Okinawa Invasion.
P-14 was credited with downing 14 Japanese aircraft
including a Betty, Zero's and Zeke's |

and other B-29s from the 39th BG over the heart of Yokohoma |
