I
was drafted September 1942 and was called to active duty Oct 1942. I was discharged at Camp Attleberry Dec 1945.
I was assigned to the 61st Bomb Squadron in the United States and went to Guam in Feb. 1945. I spent 13 months on Guam as cyrptographer but since I was a good typist I ended up typing commendations for crew members who received medals. We were at what was called North Field.
Milton See, also in our squadron was a good friend of mine but no relation. Another buddy of mine said I could could go on a mission with him but if anything happened my wife would not received any insurance money- so I declined.
After the war, I went to Kent State on the GI Bill and ended up as a shopping manager for B.F. Goodrich from which I retired.
