Joseph W. Clark, was born Nov. 12, 1920 in Mount Carmel Junction, he was a son of the late Joseph and Esther (Adams) Clark Sr.
He was a 1938 graduate at Mount Carmel High School.
Joseph enlisted in the Army in 1942 and reached the rank of sergeant serving in the Pacific Theater. He was then discharged and
re-enlisted to attend Bombardier (Norden) School, where he graduated and reached the rank of first lieutenant. He returned to
Guam and served in the 39th Bomb Group as a B-29 Bombardier. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross along
with many other awards for his distinguished military duty.
He married Ethel (Pieri) Clark, they had 2 sons, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He worked in sales for H.J. Grossman and Sons and also Quaker Hardware Supply.
Joe loves shooting and hunting and was past president of the Steampipe Hunting Club and a member for more than 65 years. He
loved sports of all kind, especially golf, and always followed Mount Carmel Area football and baseball.
