James Wyckoff, Association President notified me that George C. Tilghman took his Final Flight 1 March 2006.
George was one of three men who bailed out on 29 May 1945 - Yokohoma Mission. George, Fred Dunn and Joseph P. Miller were rescued.
George was an architect by trade; He served on St. Leonard (Maryland) Architectural Review Committee having just been reappointed Dec 2005; He was on the Board of Governors for Calvert Marine Museum, and he served as the 39th Bomb Group (VH) Association's Treasurer from 1996 to Present.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 7 in St. Leonard, MD.
