Luther A. Jones, 87 (Crew 59)
Luther A. Jones of Monroe, a retired educator, died Saturday. The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Monroe. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time at the church under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Lamy Lane, Monroe.

I was notifed of Luther's passing by David Beauvais, Aviation and Military Museum and friend. When I initally made contact with Luther in mid 2003 .. he told me he had donated his military memorabilia to them saying "Talk to them because they know me better than I know myself" ... David and I are in the process of getting some photos put together for Crew 59's section that Luther had given them. Just the other day David shared with me that he visited Luther on Friday (2/18) and had invited Luther to the museum, Luther said "Thanks but I am going fishing" .. David related .. "and he did - caught 2 big ones. He's alot of fun to be around"
