20th AAF Insignia 1945

Edmund J. Flynn, Airplane Commander, Crew 6

I received an email from Mike Repucci, son of M/Sgt Angelo P. Repucci, Flight Engineer, Crew 6 .. that he found a notice that Ed Flynn of Menlo Park, CA had passed away - Menlo Park, CA is mentioned in the group's history as where Flynn and his wife Jean lived in information for the "status of Crew 6" section when data was being put together the 1996 history book; I found mention on the internet of the passing of "Former Pacific Maritime Association Chief" ... another key piece. In January 2005 I was able to make contact with Steve Flynn, Ed's son, who provided some additional information as an update for the brief bio in the "status of crew 6 " section on our web site - which included his father was past President of the Pacific Maritime Assoc.

I contacted Steve Flynn to verify what information had been found and he confirmed his father did pass away. He said that an article was written by the San Francisco Chronicle. You can view article by clicking here
