Benjamin A. Piteo

This morninig I received an email from Mark Pfeffer that his father Harold, Navigator on Crew 15 had taken his final flight. This got me to thinking that I had not heard from Ben Piteo in awhile and typically when there is some news related to Crew 15 - Ben contacts me. I checked the Social Security Death Index and found an entry for "Benjamin A. Piteo" from Farmington, CT. A further search on the internet resulted in finding his obituary on the Bristol Press web site. Thus confirming that the Benjamin A. Piteo found in the SSDI is the same person that served in the 39th BG, Crew 15 as their tail gunner.
