Vinny Fowlkes was born on November 18, 1918 in Naylor Arkansas. He became known around Arkansas for his singing voice and decided to move to New York City to try and become a famous singer. He met his wife, Faith Yurich, when both were working at Macy's in New York City.
Vinny was married to Faith at in New York City shortly after the european start of WW2. After the war, he never spoke details about of his time during the war to his family anyone until shortly before his death, when they learned a little about his experience as a gunner during the war.
He was married to Faith Yurich for 57 years and fathered 6 children: Elena, Faith, Wilhelmina, Vinson, William, and Freddi.
Vinny was a son of the American Revolution.
